RCB Posts Competitive 163/7 Against Opponent in a Balanced Contest

Royal Challengers Bengaluru set a competitive total of 163/7 in their 20 overs, thanks to strong contributions from Tim David and Philip Salt. Opening the innings, Salt blazed away with a rapid 37 off just 17 balls, striking 4 fours and 3 sixes at an explosive strike rate of 217.65. Virat Kohli added momentum with a fluent 22 off 14 before falling to Mitchell Starc.

The middle order, however, faltered as Devdutt Padikkal and Liam Livingstone managed just 1 and 6 respectively. Rajat Patidar chipped in with 25 off 23, while Jitesh Sharma struggled to find rhythm, scoring 3 off 11.

Tim David anchored the innings late with a blistering 37* off 20, including 4 boundaries and 2 sixes. He was well-supported in the final overs by Krunal Pandya (18 off 18) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1* off 4).

For the bowling side, Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam were the standout performers, claiming two wickets each while maintaining excellent economy rates of 4.25 and 4.50 respectively.

With 163 on the board, RCB have a solid total, but the chase promises to be a thrilling contest under lights.
