Reliance Power Secures Largest Tender Allocation of 750 MW at Competitive Tariff of ₹6.74/kWh in SJVN Renewable Energy Auction

Reliance Power’s renewable energy arm, Reliance NU Energies, has secured the biggest allocation of 750 MW in the recently concluded 1,500 MW renewable energy auction held by SJVN Limited. The tariff discovered for this assured peak power supply is ₹6.74 per kWh, reflecting competitive pricing in India’s expanding renewable energy market.

The auction required the delivery of 6 GWh of peak power (1.5 GW x 4 hours) from interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected renewable projects paired with energy storage systems (ESS). Alongside Reliance, other major winners include Sembcorp Industries with 150 MW and Solarcraft Power India (BluPine Energy) with 150 MW, both at similar tariffs, and ACME Solar with 450 MW.

These projects will be developed on a build-own-operate basis, connecting anywhere in India to the ISTS with strict standards for technology and grid reliability. The power purchase agreements will run for 25 years, supporting India’s clean energy goals and grid stability through dispatchable renewables.
