Rise of the Young Guns: PM Modi Cheers Khelo India's Teenage Champions

During episode 119 of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the Khelo India initiative for fostering young talent and also noted the performances of the young athletes at the National Games 2025. Modi mentioned Sawan Barwal, Kiran Mhatre, Tejas Shirse, and Jyoti Yaraji as promising younger athletes. He also spoke of record achievements made by Sachin Yadav, Pooja, and Dhinidhi Desindhu. Modi said that he was proud of how swiftly India is moving towards becoming a global sporting superpower and credited the success to the hard work and discipline of India's youth.
