Russian Tanker Adrift in Stormy Bay of Biscay After Power Failure

The explosion took place in Bhandara district of Maharashtra at the Ordnance Factory, killing eight people and injuring seven. It occurred at around 10:30 am in the low-temperature plastic explosive manufacturing unit of the factory, causing a fire and building collapse. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been called for assistance in the rescue operations. The cause of the explosion is being probed by the concerned authorities. The factory under Munitions India Limited is known for the manufacture of high-energy explosives, including HMX and RDX.
