Saima's Second Wind: Pacer Plots Triumphant Return After WPL Slump

Indian speedster Saima Thakor is keen to make a comeback following a dismal performance in the recently finished Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025. The UP Warriorz player remained wicketless in her four matches, continuing a run of form that started in the ODI series against Ireland and West Indies. In spite of the disappointment, Thakor is hopeful about her future, taking cue from her Warriorz teammate Sophie Ecclestone.

The 28-year-old has stepped up her preparation for the forthcoming season, focusing on video analysis and skill-buidling. With the Senior Women's Multi-Day Trophy beginning on March 25 and an international tri-series involving India, Sri Lanka, and South Africa in April, Thakor has lots of opportunities to get back into the groove before the ICC Women's ODI World Cup later this year.

Thakor's determination, formed by previous injuries that almost cut short her career, still propels her as she fights for India's second pacer position with rising stars such as Titas Sadhu.
