Salvador Dalí's Indian Dream: Surrealist's Fascination with Mysticism Unveiled in Delhi

A groundbreaking exhibition in Delhi reveals Salvador Dalí's unexpected fascination with Indian mysticism. Curator Christine Argillet, daughter of Dalí's publisher, showcases over 200 original works, including sketches inspired by 1970s India. "Dalí was captivated by the West's intrigue with Indian mysticism during the 1960s and 1970s," Argillet explains. The collection features surrealist interpretations of elephants, temples, and human figures with blooming flower heads, offering a unique glimpse into Dalí's perception of India. This first-ever Dalí exhibition in India runs from February 7 to March 16, 2025.
