Schneider Electric to Open Three Additional Plants in India

Schneider Electric, the world leader in energy management and automation, has laid out plans to set up three new factories in India. The plants will come up in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmednagar, enhancing the company's already sizeable presence in India. The move is in keeping with Schneider's resolve to invest in India's future and play its role in its sustainable growth. The business today has 31 manufacturing factories in India and considers the country as a focus market and a global growth hub of strategic importance. Schneider Electric CEO Olivier Blum highlighted the focus of the business on energy transition, sustainability, and digitalization in India. The new factories are poised to generate jobs and enhance indigenous manufacturing capabilities.
