Sealmatic India Secures Order for Kalvari-Class Submarine Components

Sealmatic India Limited has secured a significant order to supply critical mechanical seals for the Kalvari-class submarines, bolstering India's naval capabilities. The company will provide essential components for the Stern Gland Seal in collaboration with Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders (MDL) for the diesel-electric attack submarines, a cornerstone of the Indian Navy's Project-75.This order comes as India prepares to place a repeat order for three additional Kalvari-class submarines, worth ₹38,000 crore, expected to be cleared by February 2025. Sealmatic's involvement underscores its growing role in India's defense sector and supports the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative.The company's Managing Director, Umar A K Balwa, emphasized that this development strengthens Sealmatic's foothold in the naval and maritime defense sectors.
