Security Simplified: Metro And Namo Bharat Join Forces For Commuter Ease

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) have jointly launched a unified passenger corridor at New Ashok Nagar station, connecting the Namo Bharat RRTS with the Metro’s Blue Line. This integration is designed to simplify travel for thousands of daily commuters by introducing a single-point security check, thereby removing the inconvenience of double frisking.  

Officials highlighted that the move will save time, reduce crowding, and encourage greater use of multimodal transport options. The corridor was opened to the public on January 11, marking a significant step toward Delhi’s vision of seamless, commuter-friendly urban mobility.
