The Howrah-Guwahati Vande Bharat Sleeper train marks a significant milestone in Indian Railways’ modernization journey. With 16 fully air-conditioned coaches, it can accommodate up to 823 passengers, offering faster and more efficient travel compared to conventional overnight trains.  

Expansion Plans  
The Howrah-Guwahati service is part of Indian Railways’ broader initiative to introduce 12 Vande Bharat sleeper trainsets by the end of 2026. This expansion aims to enhance connectivity and provide passengers across India with premium overnight travel options.
