 The Whole Truth is a clean-label food company that has been accused by fitness influencer Akash Yadav of misleading consumers about their products—specifically the level of sugar in their protein line.

Allegation Highlights

Yadav asserts that the brand's Beginner Protein has 25 grams of sugar per 100 grams, of which 14 grams is added sugar.

He claims this violates the brand's "no lies" positioning and deceives health-oriented consumers

The influencer also took issue with the marketing of protein bars and hazelnut spreads, saying they're out of place for children and families

Brand's Rebuttal

Founder Shashank Mehta refuted the claims as misleading and stated that the sugar comes from jaggery, clearly marked on the front

Mehta stressed that the product at issue is a starter model and not for experienced fitness consumers

He further stated that the other protein choices in their line have zero added sugar and higher protein.

The scandal has created a wider debate over food transparency, influencer accountability, and consumer trust

Even though Yadav vouches for his words, the brand insists that it has sorted the issue with the authorities and stands by radical transparency
