Superboys of Malegaon' Fails at Box Office on Opening Day

Reema Kagti's 'Superboys of Malegaon,' featuring Adarsh Gourav, got off to a poor beginning at the box office on opening day, February 28, 2025. Even with a Buy-One-Get-One deal, the film failed to make an impression, collecting only ₹45-60 lakh. With a total Hindi occupancy of 8.85%, the movie has an uphill task ahead of it to get back on track. Slice-of-life drama from actual filmmaker Nasir Shaikh's life fetched great reviews but was unable to bring that into box office figures. This is the lowest 2025 opening so far for a Bollywood movie, below trade predictions and illustrating the difficulty in getting audiences into the cinema to see smaller content-oriented films.
