Swati Maliwal's Presence at Rekha Gupta's Swearing-in Sparks Speculation of Political Shift

AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has thrown political dices with her appearance at the ceremonial swearing-in of BJP leader Rekha Gupta as Delhi's chief minister at Ramlila Maidan. Once a close confidante of Arvind Kejriwal, Maliwal has recently become one of the more outspoken critics of the Aam Aadmi Party leader. She was seen in animated discussion with Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav on the stage, stirring up rumors that a political realignment may be brewing. Maliwal congratulated Gupta, wishing that she fulfills the expectations of the people of Delhi. This appearance comes at a time when Maliwal is presently at odds with the AAP leadership, since last year, following allegations of assault against an aide of Kejriwal.
