Telecom Revolution: TRAI Greenlights Auction of New High-Frequency Spectrum

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has paved the way for a significant advancement in telecommunications by recommending the auction of two new high-frequency spectrum sets in the 37-37.5 GHz and 37.5-40 GHz bands. With a base price set at just Rs 5.98 crore per megahertz, this marks the lowest starting price for any spectrum band to date, promising to enhance connectivity and capacity for telecom operators across India. This strategic move aims to bolster high-speed internet access, particularly in densely populated areas.
