The partnership takes Meta's campaign, 'Scam Se Bacho,' to the next level to promote digital safety awareness. The initiative involves train-the-trainer sessions for officials and telecommunication service providers, along with creating educational assets in local languages to ensure maximum reach.

WhatsApp will use DoT's Digital Intelligence Platform data to actively counter telecom resource misuse. The alliance is designed to stem increasing cybercrime waves, including 'digital arrests,' where fraudsters utilize WhatsApp calls for extorting victims.
