The Future of News: Anjana Om Kashyap Leads Black & White

Aaj Tak has announced a big overhaul of its prime-time programming after the exit of veteran journalist Sudhir Chaudhary. Anjana Om Kashyap, one of India's best-known news anchors, will now present the channel's flagship 9 PM show, Black & White. Famous for her incisive debating skills and powerful journalism, Kashyap is set to infuse the show with a new dimension while retaining its aggressive and sharp tone.
This is all part of a larger restructuring within Aaj Tak, with Neha Batham hosting Shankhnaad at 7 PM, Shweta Singh presenting Khabardar at 8 PM, and Syed Ansari presenting 10Tak at 10 PM. The new Black & White is promising to explore in-depth issues, revealing the "grey areas" behind the news.
Sudhir Chaudhary, whose last episode was on April 4, will join DD News in May with a much-touted show said to cost ₹15 crore a year. His departure means the end of an era at Aaj Tak but presents opportunities for Kashyap to write a new chapter in the programme's history.
