The Next Big Thing: India's 10-Year Plan to Dominate Women's Football

Former Australian striker Sarah Walsh opines that India can become a women's footballing giant in the next decade. Addressing the RCB Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit, Walsh pointed to the potential of growth for India at the international level. The Indian women's team is ranked 13th in Asia and 67th worldwide. Walsh stressed that the 2036 Olympics in India could greatly lift the sport in India by tapping into existing facilities and growing participation. She expects India to make a major impact at next year's Women's Asian Cup in Australia.
