The Rise of Akasa Air: From 27 to 30 Aircraft, with Navi Mumbai and Jewar as Key Hubs

Akasa Air is set for an aggressive expansion plan as it looks to expand its fleet to 30 aircraft by July. This month, the airline will take delivery of its 28th Boeing 737 MAX, even as it has been hit by delivery delays because of regulatory pressures against Boeing's 737 MAX program. As a part of its strategic expansion, Akasa Air is going to base 5-7 planes at both the new Navi Mumbai and Jewar airports towards the end of this year, making these airports focal points of its long-term planning.
