The Unspoken Advantage: Rassie van der Dussen on India's Dominance

South African batsman Rassie van der Dussen has admitted that India have a major advantage in the current Champions Trophy. India playing all their matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, van der Dussen opines that it provides them with an upper hand compared to the rest of the teams. He remarked, "You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that having the ability to train and play in one venue, combined with the fact that there is no inter-city or inter-country traveling, puts India at an advantage".

 

Van der Dussen also added that this plus could extend more pressure to India to perform. He furthered that even though India would be used to the conditions, their semi-final or final opponents would have to contend with unfamiliar situations.

 

This observation is made when South Africa is set to face England in Karachi in their decisive match to seal their fate in the tournament.
