Time Technoplast Limited has announced the successful completion of trials for its hydrogen-powered drone prototypes, developed under a strategic collaboration with Drone Stark Technologies (OPC) Pvt Ltd. The alliance combines Time Technoplast’s expertise in Type III and Type IV composite hydrogen cylinders with Drone Stark’s indigenous UAV platforms to push the boundaries of endurance and payload capability.

The drones are designed around hydrogen fuel-cell systems, enabling significantly higher flight duration and range compared with conventional battery-powered UAVs, while sharply reducing carbon emissions. This positions the platform for applications in surveillance, logistics, agriculture, emergency response and infrastructure monitoring as the global drone market heads toward a projected size of about USD 75 billion by 2033.

Management has highlighted that successful trials pave the way for commercialisation opportunities with multiple drone manufacturers, as the hydrogen storage system can be deployed across different UAV designs. The initiative also strengthens Time Technoplast’s positioning in high-growth hydrogen mobility and energy-storage segments beyond its traditional industrial packaging and composite-cylinder businesses.
