India's sport will acquire a cutting new edge with the launch of the IPL-style Shooting League of India (SLI), scheduled from November 20 to December 2, 2025. Backed by the National Rifle Association of India and officially sanctioned by the ISSF, the SLI will have eight city-based franchise teams, each comprising leading champions, world stars, national heroes, and promising juniors, in mixed-team events in all six Olympic shooting disciplines-including air rifle, air pistol, trap, and skeet. Hosted at Delhi’s Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range, the league promises quickfire 25-minute matches, a player auction, and substantial prize money, aiming to make shooting a broadcast-friendly, fan-favorite spectacle.
