United We Stand: NSUI and Left Unite Against Government's Education Agenda

NSUI has aligned themselves with left leaning student bodies like AISA and SFI and opposed the educational policies of the government. The new UGC draft, prohibiting student union election, and unused reserved seats of higher education, are condemned by them. The coalition has organized countrywide protests from March 17 to 22, culminating in a mass rally at Jantar Mantar on March 24. The collective front is seeking to reclaim student rights and oppose policies such as the NEP 2020, which they argue encourages privatization and centralization.
