Uniting Hearts and Palates: The Spiritual Pulse of Ramadan Bazaars

Ramadan began on Sunday, March 2, 2025, and all Ramadan bazaars in Malaysia have opened to noise and excitement. The Queen Street bazaar in Little India, Penang, features 25 stalls offering traditional treats that are popular among Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow launched the rebranded Ramadan Food Fest 2025, noting plans to include bazaars in next year's tourism calendar. A popular bazaar is the one at Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur, perhaps Stadium Shah Alam in Selangor, and Presint 3 in Putrajaya. Vendors upheld their commitment to cheap prices, though some have marked a small increase. Crowd bought traditional pastries and local favorites.
