Unleashing Champions: Chandigarh to Host State-of-the-Art Khelo India Centre

Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will meet Chandigarh officials today to finalize the setting up of a new Khelo India Centre in the city. This comes after recent talks between Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and Minister Mandaviya on revolutionary sports infrastructure projects under the Khelo India Scheme. The new centre would have cutting-edge facilities such as an Indoor Multi-Purpose Sports Hall for 12 disciplines and an Indoor All-Weather Swimming Pool Complex. The move will be in tune with the vision of the government to enhance the sports ecosystem in India and bring forth new talent. The meeting also points to the increased significance of Chandigarh as a sporting city, as 20 acres are already identified for an international-class indoor multipurpose hall.
