The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has introduced its first major residential township project after 20 years, Anant Nagar, on Mohaan Road. The 785-acre sprawling project is targeted to house nearly 1.5 lakh inhabitants. The eight sectors of the township are to be Aakash Khand, Aalekh Khand, Ashish Khand, Abhas Khand, Alok Khand, Adarsh Khand, Aditya Khand, and Amod Khand.
Key Highlights
Investment and Land: The investment is estimated to be approximately ₹6,500 crore, with reports indicating nearly ₹7,000 crore of investment for an 800-acre project.
Housing: Around 10,000 flats will be built over 60 plots, accommodating around 50,000 inhabitants. Also, almost 5,000 buildings will be for the EWS/LIG segments, housing 25,000 individuals.
Education and Open Spaces: An Education City of 100 acres will have facilities for 10,000 students and teachers. There will also be a 130-acre park in the township.
Infrastructure: The design is Chandigarh and Panchkula-inspired with a grid pattern, elaborate roads, and state-of-the-art civic infrastructure.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underlined the need for transparency in allotting plots, so that no middlemen are present. This project should give a huge boost to the economy of Uttar Pradesh and give better lives to its people.
