Uttarakhand Declares 13 Villages as Sanskrit Heartlands for Cultural Revival

In a bid to preserve and promote Sanskrit, the Uttarakhand government has officially declared 13 villages as "Sanskrit Villages." These villages will serve as hubs for the revival of the ancient language, with Sanskrit being integrated into daily communication, education, and administration. Residents will receive special training to facilitate the use of Sanskrit in everyday life. The initiative aligns with the state’s efforts to embrace its cultural heritage and strengthen linguistic traditions. Uttarakhand continues to lead in Sanskrit promotion across India.
