Bajpayee’s comments came while explaining why the script of “Governor” appealed to him: it turned heavy economic themes into an accessible, mainstream narrative without losing nuance. He pointed out that while classroom maths baffled him, the film’s treatment of numbers, crises and institutions felt clear enough that he kept wondering “what is on the next page”, a response he takes as proof that the writing does its job.

Dreams, Detours And Expectations

Looking back at his childhood in Bihar, the actor said he knew by age nine that acting was his calling, but social pressures and family expectations pushed him toward more conventional careers like medicine. With his “very weak” mathematics and physics, that path was never realistic, but he still tried to go through the motions out of attachment to his father’s unrealised dream. In the end, he suggests, acknowledging what you are not good at can be as important as owning what you are meant to do.
