Your Health, Your Dashboard: Explore the Future of Nutrition with Poshan Tracker’s Beneficiary Access

India's battle against malnutrition has entered a transformative phase with the roll-out of the Beneficiary Module in the Poshan Tracker app, launched during the 7th Poshan Pakhwada (April 8–22, 2025). For the first time, more than 10 crore beneficiaries—pregnant and lactating women, adolescent girls, and children under six years of age—can directly view, track, and manage their nutrition and health services through an easy-to-use digital platform.

Key Highlights:

Citizens are able to self-register through the Poshan Tracker app or web, monitor service history, and track important markers such as pregnancy trimesters, anaemia status, and growth milestones of their children.

The module gives its users the strength to find the nearest Anganwadi Centre, book appointments, and even organize home visits by Anganwadi workers—connecting providers and beneficiaries.

Real-time tracking of take-home rations, hot cooked meals, and growth monitoring is now possible at the fingertips of every eligible family, supplanting cumbersome paper records with digital transparency.

There is a grievance redressal feature built into the app, wherein beneficiaries can report incidents of missing rations or erratic centre operations, creating accountability and community ownership.

The new module is supported in 24 languages and Aadhaar-integrated for safe, verified access, with 99.61% Aadhaar verification being achieved in states such as Karnataka.

The initiative has been praised by UNICEF and WHO for increasing transparency, efficiency, and citizen participation in India's nutrition services.

This virtual leap represents a paradigm shift from a government-focused monitoring mechanism to a citizen-participatory nutrition system—establishing a standard for engaging, accountable, and inclusive public health governance.
