Zerodha Sticks to Zero

Zerodha's CEO, Nithin Kamath, has reaffirmed the company's commitment to its zero brokerage policy on equity delivery trades, despite facing significant pressure due to declining option trading volumes. This policy, initiated in December 2015, has saved investors between Rs 2,000 crore and Rs 20,000 crore over the past decade. Kamath emphasized that maintaining this policy aligns with Zerodha's mission to reduce barriers in investing, noting that the company's name means "Zero + Barriers" in Sanskrit, not "Zero + Brokerage." This stance has helped Zerodha maintain its market share and trust among investors.
