Celebrating History on Wheels: 59th Statesman Vintage Car Rally Thrills Delhi

Delhi's streets came alive with the roar of engines from a bygone era as the 59th Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally unfolded on February 8, 2026. Flagged off by Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, over 100 meticulously restored vintage and classic cars paraded through the capital, captivating enthusiasts and spectators alike. This iconic event celebrated automotive heritage, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance.

• Over 100 participating vehicles, featuring rare models like a 1914 fire engine, MG YT convertible, Rolls Royce Phantom 1 Open Tourer, Premier Padmini, and Mercedes models.  
• Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena flagged off the event, drawing crowds mesmerized by the majestic procession through Delhi-NCR roads.  
• Judging focused on originality, performance, maintenance in categories such as vintage (pre-1939), classic (1940-1956), post-war (1945-1962 over 1500cc), and 50 Plus section.  
• Spectators, including diplomats and car connoisseurs, celebrated the blend of history and thrill, with live music and fancy dress displays enhancing the atmosphere.
