Electric Dreams: Hyundai CEO Unveils India's Key Role in Global EV Revolution

Hyundai Motor Company's CEO and President Jose Munoz has stressed the importance of India in the firm's worldwide electric vehicle (EV) strategy. In a recent town hall session at Hyundai Motor India Limited's office in Gurugram, Munoz said India will be key to Hyundai's goal of selling 2 million EVs worldwide by 2030. He lauded India as a world-class automotive manufacturing and regional export hub, an integral part of Hyundai's global vision. Munoz also disclosed plans to reinforce Hyundai's Indian EV lineup and make electric cars more affordable to Indian buyers. The new production plant in Talegaon, Maharashtra, would enhance local manufacturing capacity and cement India's role as a worldwide manufacturing base for Hyundai.
