PM Modi was preceded by 114 horses in his motorcade when he arrived at the presidential residence, where he was given full military honors. The ceremonial guard of honor included the playing of the national anthems of India and Brazil, which set the mood for respect and friendship.

The event also saw a beautiful rendition of Indian classical music and a Brazilian Samba Reggae performance, blending the cultural heritage of the two nations. Modi greeted the artists and the special musical tribute, which included performances of tablas and harmonium.

The visit was for reinforcing the strategic alliance of India and Brazil. Indian diaspora in Brazil turned out in large numbers at the airport to receive Modi, reflecting the close diaspora connection.
