Godawari Power & Ispat Temporarily Halts Mining at Boria Tibu Due to Expiry of Mining Plan

Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd. has temporarily suspended mining activities at its Boria Tibu Iron Ore Mines in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, following the expiry of the mining plan approval on March 31, 2025. The company has applied for renewal and expects approval within the next 10 days, after which operations will resume. The mine has an annual capacity of 7.05 lakh tonnes per annum, but its contribution to the company's profitability has been minimal due to high operational costs. This suspension is not expected to have a significant financial impact on the company. Godawari Power & Ispat continues to focus on enhancing its steel-making capacities and expanding its product portfolio.
