Granules India CEO Kandiraju Venkata Sitaram Rao Resigns, Effective July 31

Granules India Ltd has announced the resignation of its Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Kandiraju Venkata Sitaram Rao. The decision, attributed to personal reasons, will take effect at the close of business hours on July 31, 2025. The company has yet to name a successor or interim CEO.

- Dr Rao joined Granules India in January 2022 and played a key role in steering operational growth and strategic expansion  
- He brought over 29 years of experience from leading pharmaceutical firms including Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, PI Industries, and Jubilant Life Sciences  
- His tenure focused on strengthening manufacturing, R&D, and global partnerships in APIs, PFIs, and finished dosages

- The resignation was disclosed via a regulatory filing with the National Stock Exchange and BSE under SEBI norms  
- The Board has acknowledged the resignation and confirmed that Dr Rao will cease to be a Key Managerial Personnel from July 31
