India's Manufacturing Milestones in 2024: A Year of Unprecedented Growth

In 2024, India's manufacturing sector achieved remarkable milestones, particularly in steel and semiconductors. The government approved the establishment of the first semiconductor fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat, a collaboration between Tata Electronics and Taiwan's Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp, with an investment of ₹91,000 crore. 

Additionally, two ATMP (Assembly, Testing, Marking, and Packaging) units were sanctioned: a ₹27,000 crore facility in Morigaon, Assam, expected to generate 15,000 direct jobs, and another in Dholera, Gujarat. 

These developments underscore India's commitment to becoming a global manufacturing powerhouse. The steel industry also saw significant advancements, with JSW Group expanding its operations and investing in new technologies to enhance production capacity. These strategic initiatives are set to propel India's economic growth and solidify its position in the global manufacturing landscape.
