Maharashtra To Host Dilipraj Book Festival 2026 Across 24 Cities From May 1

Book lovers across Maharashtra are set to enjoy the second edition of the Dilipraj Book Festival. With events spanning six weeks, the festival aims to encourage reading culture and highlight Marathi literature, which was recently granted classical language status by the central government.

Festival Details

The festival will be hosted at 40 major book outlets in 24 cities, including Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Solapur, Nashik, Jalgaon, Sangli, Satara, Latur, and Sambhajinagar. In Pune, books will be available at outlets such as Rasik Sahitya, Patil Enterprises, Pustak Peth, and Pustak Vishva.

Over 300 selected titles from Dilipraj Prakashan will be offered at discounts of up to 35%. The collection spans genres including literature, history, short stories, novels, politics, science, and children’s literature, ensuring something for every reader.

Cultural Significance

The festival not only promotes reading but also celebrates Marathi’s recognition as a classical language. Dilipraj Prakashan, with a legacy of over 55 years and more than 140 state awards including the Sahitya Akademi Award and Saraswati Samman, continues to play a pivotal role in Marathi publishing.
