Antony Waste Handling Cell Ltd has announced that its material subsidiary, Antony Lara Enviro Solutions Pvt Ltd, has been awarded a major municipal solid waste management contract by Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC). The project involves the establishment and operation of a 600–800 tonnes per day mixed solid waste processing plant on a Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) basis at Atkoli, Taluka Bhiwandi.
The ₹329.45 crore contract spans a 10-year concession period and includes comprehensive operation and maintenance of the facility. The capital expenditure of ₹67 crore will be reimbursed by TMC upon milestone completion. The plant will feature a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for waste segregation and resource recovery, reinforcing Antony Waste’s integrated approach to sustainable waste management.
