The city of Vadodara was bustling with activity as over 1,000 would-be Chartered Accountants from across India had gathered in the city for a two-day national conference, an Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) flagship event. Organised jointly by the Vadodara chapter of the Western India Regional Council and the Chartered Accountants Students Association, the event promises to be an infectious blend of intellectual enthusiasm, professional interest, and inspirational interaction.

Key Highlights of Day One

The meet was initiated at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar Gruh by CA Sanjay Bharti, CFO, ONGC Petro Additions Ltd, emphasizing the importance of ethical leadership and fiscal integrity.

With the theme of empowerment and excellence, the conference seeks to foster leadership, teamwork, and rational cognizance of the changing finance scenario.

Students participated in interactive sessions on topics such as behavioral finance, decision making, and the prospects of accounting in an age of technology.

The Vadodara event is also part of a series of ICAI events, conferences having been organized for Kolkata, Nagpur, and Bhubaneswar, each tailored to local capabilities and student interest.

Themed RRR Returns – Reskill, Resolve, Rejoice, over 4,500 delegates converged at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in the Kolkata conference.

The former President Ram Nath Kovind spoke to students remotely, asking them to maintain ethics and moral courage throughout their professional lives.

An effort was made for the World Record for the biggest ethics lesson, with over 5,000 students, verified by the World Book of Records, London.

The sessions had eminent guest speakers such as Khan Sir, Dr. Anand Ranganathan, and CA Bhanwar Borana, who combined theoretical knowledge with practical applicability.
