The Gujarat government has imposed a precautionary blackout in the villages of Santalpur taluka, Patan district, as tensions escalate along the India-Pakistan border. The move comes as part of broader security measures, with authorities urging residents to remain vigilant and follow official instructions.

The blackout, enforced on May 9, is aimed at minimizing visibility and reducing potential security risks in border areas. Similar measures have been implemented in Kutch and Banaskantha districts, where power supply has been cut off in select villages. Officials have assured that emergency services remain operational, and efforts are underway to ensure essential supplies reach affected areas.

Residents have been advised to stay indoors and avoid spreading misinformation. The Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office has emphasized the importance of following government directives to maintain public safety.

The situation remains fluid, with security forces on high alert. Authorities continue to monitor developments closely, coordinating with central agencies to assess further precautionary steps.
