Kawasaki launched the 2025 Ninja 400 in Japan, refreshing its top-seller beginner sportbike with a cosmetic refresh while keeping the proven mechanics. The new motorcycle has two aggressive colour options—Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray x Metallic Flat Spark Black and Metallic Spark Black x Metallic Magnetic Dark Gray—shifting away from the firm's iconic Lime Green colour. The new colors and graphics aim to give the Ninja 400 a cooler, more modern image for the coming year.
Mechanically, the Ninja 400 continues with the same 399cc parallel-twin motor delivering 44hp and 38Nm of torque, and a six-speed gearbox. Chassis hardware is also unchanged in terms of telescopic front forks, a monoshock at the rear, and single disc brakes on 17-inch wheels, delivering the bike's signature combination of performance and tractability in a day-to-day setting.
The Ninja 400 remains a favorite among new and old riders in Japan because of its light weight and easy handling. Despite the fact that the bike has been discontinued in India for the benefit of the Ninja 500, it remains strong in its home market.
