The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is ready to announce the results of Class 12 board exams for the year 2025, with high chances indicating the announcement on Monday, May 12. This follows the fact that more than 17.88 lakh students in India and abroad are waiting for the results after exams ended on April 4. The result window, according to CBSE's usual pattern, ranges between May 11 and May 15, following previous years' patterns.

Reports indicate that the board is speeding up the declaration this year, given the fact that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) would be starting from May 13. DigiLocker, the government's digital locker platform, has already flashed the portal with a "CBSE Result 2025 Soon" notice, which in earlier years has come just hours before the formal announcement of results.

When and Where to Check Results
Students can download their CBSE Class 12 results through several digital mediums to ensure hassle-free and mass download. The official websites are:
  • cbseresults.nic.in
  • results.cbse.nic.in
  • cbse.gov.in
  • Results will also be provided through DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in), SMS, IVRS, and the UMANG app.
How to Download Your Marksheet
  • In order to download and check the CBSE Class 12 marksheet, students should:
  • Go through any of the official result websites of CBSE.
  • Click on the "CBSE 12th Result 2025" link.
  • Enter the necessary credentials: Roll Number, School Number, Date of Birth, and Admit Card ID.
  • Proceed with submitting the details to see and download the marksheet for future use.
What's New This Year?
This year, CBSE has come up with an updated 'Relative Grading' system. In contrast to the earlier fixed mark range system, students will be graded relatively against the performance of fellow students in each subject. The passing mark is still 33% for theory and practical papers. Students short by one or two marks might be granted grace marks.

Important Reminders
  • No official confirmation of the exact result time has been released, but results are expected between 11 AM and 4 PM on May 12.
  • Students are urged to rely only on official CBSE channels for updates and to avoid misinformation circulating on social media.
  • Keep your admit card and required details handy to avoid last-minute hassles.
