Cisco Powers Up India: A Billion-Dollar Boost for Data Centers and Jobs!

Cisco Systems is to introduce new data centers to India and enhance its manufacturing strength, said Daisy Chittilapilly, President of Cisco India. Cisco has just commissioned a manufacturing facility in Chennai, targeting $1 billion throughput. Cisco will launch additional product lines in routing and switching within the next 18-24 months. The technology giant is also expanding its data center capabilities, with security-related facilities lined up prior to the end of the fiscal year. Chittilapilly highlighted Cisco's focus on diversifying its supply chain and procuring more components locally.
