In a major step towards enhancing governance and coalition cohesion, the Andhra Pradesh government has made orders appointing 22 important nominated positions in different state institutions. The latest round of appointments is in line with the strategy of the coalition to balance representation between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jana Sena, and BJP, so that all alliance partners have an equal share of participation.
Key Highlights:
The government published a new list of 22 persons appointed to senior nominated posts, completing its step-by-step process of filling such positions since the coalition came to power.
The appointments range across key sectors, with chairmen being named for a number of cooperative banks and state institutions, underscoring the administration's emphasis on grass-roots financial institutions.
Noted choices include ex-TDP MLA Ganni Veeranjaneyulu as Chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (APCOB), highlighting the party's dominance in major financial institutions.
Other notable appointments: Kamepalli Sitaramayya (TDP) as Prakasam District Cooperative Bank Chairman, Tummala Ramaswamy (Jana Sena) to Kakinada District Cooperative Bank, and Chaganti Muralikrishna (Jana Sena) to Eluru DCMs.
The government's strategy is regarded as a balancing act, providing positions to the leaders of all coalition parties to ensure internal cohesion and effective governance.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan are said to be closely observing the process, prioritizing transparency and coalition agreement.
This spate of appointments not only plugs administrative holes but also demonstrates the coalition's seriousness towards inclusive governance and power sharing, setting the tone for collective leadership in Andhra Pradesh.
