Crunchfish has introduced a new offline payment model with interoperable layer-2 Offline Wallets and an Offline Terminal Infrastructure (OTI) that will transform payment ecosystems globally. It is a scalable, modular infrastructure that facilitates safe payments even when there is no internet connection, and it is a lifeline for rural areas, disaster zones, and countries with lousy networks.

The OTI allows payment network providers, central banks, and digital payment platforms to establish universal standards, with banks and third-party providers creating simple offline wallets. Segmentation introduces competition and flexibility, enabling millions of merchants to accept offline payments from any suitable wallet. Crunchfish's "Reserve, Pay, and Settle" patented idea assures secure reconciliation of transactions when connectivity is regained, with the same robustness as EMVCo card systems.

The technology accommodates both Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and retail systems such as India's UPI, enabling cash-like convenience for digital payments globally. With key patents already approved in the US and EU, Crunchfish is now a global frontrunner in secure, scalable offline payments technology.
