In a one-sided clash, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) crushed Gujarat Titans by 83 runs after posting a mammoth 230/5 in their 20 overs. The Titans were bundled out for 147 in just 18.3 overs, failing to mount a meaningful chase.
B Sai Sudharsan offered some resistance with a well-made 41 off 28 balls, while cameos from Arshad Khan (20 off 14) and Rashid Khan (12 off 8) weren’t enough to make a dent in the towering target. The Titans’ batting lineup crumbled under pressure with Shubman Gill (13), Jos Buttler (5), and Shahrukh Khan (19) all falling cheaply.
CSK bowlers shared the spoils, with Ravindra Jadeja taking 2 crucial wickets, while Khaleel Ahmed, and Matheesha Pathirana chipped in with a wicket each. Noor Ahmad starred with figures of 4-0-21-3, tightening the screws in the middle overs.
Anshul Kamboj impressed with 3 wickets in his 2.3 overs, wrapping up the innings efficiently.
This emphatic win boosts CSK’s net run rate and strengthens their playoff hopes, while Gujarat Titans will have to regroup quickly after a crushing defeat.
