Ex-ISRO Chief Calls for Space Parks Across India to Boost Innovation

Former ISRO Chairman S. Somanath emphasized the importance of establishing 'Space Parks' in every Indian state to bolster the technological capabilities of space-sector startups. Speaking at the Global Investors' Meet - Invest Karnataka 2025 event, he highlighted the government's clear policies and financial support as key drivers for private investment in areas like satellite manufacturing, infrastructure development, and data services. Somanath also stressed the role of state governments in nurturing the space ecosystem and encouraged startups to leverage freely available data for innovation.
