India's Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are poised for a record year, with a minimum of 30 to cross the billion-dollar revenue threshold in 2025—up from 24 in the past year. This growth indicates the ever-stronger role that India is playing as a global hub for innovation and operations for Fortune 500 companies, including some of the world's largest banks and technology firms like JP Morgan, Citicorp, Microsoft, and Salesforce.

The number of India's billion-dollar GCCs has more than doubled in five years, driven by India's deep talent pool in deep tech, cost advantages, and high-speed embrace of AI and automation. These centers, concentrated in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune, have become the epicenter of global R&D, digital innovation, and business functions.

Experts put the number of GCCs in India at around 1,900 with $60 billion in revenues by the end of this year, cementing its position as a global tech powerhouse.
