Haryana is set to develop a new Industrial Model Township (IMT) in partnership with Japanese companies, aiming to boost industrial growth, green energy, and advanced manufacturing. Haryana’s Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh announced plans to develop an Industrial Model Township in close cooperation with Japanese firms. This initiative, a part of Haryana’s larger industrial policy update, is designed to accelerate economic growth and infrastructure development in the state.

The announcement follows a recent delegation visit led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to Japan to attract investment and enhance bilateral industrial cooperation. Notably, half of Haryana’s proposed ten IMTs have already received approval, and at least one IMT will be developed with the expertise and investment of Japanese firms.

Japan’s role in Haryana’s industrial landscape is well-established, with over 600 Japanese companies operating across various sectors, contributing to substantial employment and technology transfers.
