Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) has announced a significant milestone with the successful commissioning of the remaining 50 MW capacity of the GIPCL Solar Power Project. This achievement marks the full operationalization of the project, further strengthening GACL’s commitment to sustainable and green energy initiatives.

The balance 50 MW of the GIPCL Solar Power Project has been made fully operative as of June 26, 2025, bringing the entire project to its intended capacity.

 

This solar project is a collaboration between GACL and Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL), aimed at promoting renewable energy usage within the state.

 

With this addition, the total solar power generation capacity under this initiative now stands at 100 MW, supporting both industrial and grid requirements.

 

The project will significantly reduce the carbon footprint of GACL’s operations, aligning with the company’s sustainability and environmental goals.
