The Maharashtra government, in an innovative initiative taken at the World Economic Forum at Davos, has entered a tie-up with online education giant upGrad to establish AI Excellence Centers across the state with an investment of a whopping ₹2,150 crore. It looks to empower over one million students with the skills and training that can give them a competitive edge in emerging technologies such as AI. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that this collaboration will significantly contribute to Maharashtra's ambition of becoming a $5 trillion economy by 2030, enhancing both urban and rural educational opportunities.
